come cornice d’oro
adagiata sull’azzurro mare!
Non mi commuovo invano,
che nella mente affiorano i ricordi,
i più lontani, dei bei giorni lieti;
mia bella, mia superba
terra di naviganti e di poeti!
In te l’anima ritrova quella parte
di sè che a volte sfiora l’infinito,
tu accarezzi le sue ferite
come l’acqua dei tuoi fiumi la pietra,
come il vento le coste e gli aspri monti.
Eppure da te spesso mi allontano
da ataviche vele trascinata
