I capi Issa in SOFT SHELL utilizzano membrana TPU provenienti
dal mondo dello sport che permette di affrontare due aspetti,
impermeabilità e traspirabilità, considerati per anni incon-
ciliabili. La membrana Issa contiene migliaia di minuscoli fori
sufficientemente piccoli da non far passare la molecola d’acqua
ma abbastanza grandi da consentire la traspirazione del vapore in
modo da mantenere il corpo asciutto e la temperatura corporea
gradevole. Il corpo di un maschio adulto può produrre in un ora
una quantità di sudore pari a 50 ml in fase di riposo, 1 litro duran-
te l’attività di lavoro pesante e fino a 4 litri durante una maratona
olimpica. Si comprende bene come il sudore che non riesce ad es-
sere trasferito all’esterno, ristagna sulla pelle ed impregna i vestiti
causando così un effetto freddo in inverno e caldo in estate.
SOFT SHELL Issa garments use TPU membrane from sportwear
that allow to combine two features, waterproofing and brea-
thability, considered incompatible for long time. Issa membrane
presents thousands of tiny holes, small enough not to pass the
water molecule, but large enough to allow vapor perspiration so
as to keep the body dry and body temperature pleasant. The body
of an adult man can produce a quantity of sweat per hour equal
to 50 ml in resting phase, one liter per hour during heavy work
activities and up to four liter during an Olympic marathon. It can
be easily understood that the sweat that cannot be transferred
outside stays on the skin and soaks clothes causing a cold effect in
winter and hot one in summer.
