Elisabetta Tolaini is the co-owner of DèPio, historic hosiery founded by her

My Iron Homeland
My hometown has China ‘s first steel production
base. It experienced a wave of layoffs in the 1990s, Huang Shipeng

Subtle Second Skin
Clothes are the smallest shelter a human being
could ever carry. The knitwear’s origins can be traced
back to the ‘gansey’ sweaters which aims to provide
protection and warmth. The knitwear is a typical
Mengyuan You type of clothes to represent ‘shelter’. Shelter is also
the key word of the color I chose. I tend to choose
the calm, quiet, low saturation colors which will
make people feel safe, like earthy colors. It gives the
sense of security because you can see these colors
everywhere, in the mountain, on the ground, in the
sky, it would not threaten you. My capsule collection
is about a private moment in domestic place. It’s a
shelter, a way of withdrawing from what’s around
you and make you feel safe. A protection that is for
easing the movement, also giving warmth for both
body and eyes.

While the recent Covid-19 pandemic hase caused

distance are very mysterious and beautiful. Think

temperatures in the s/s season of 2022. We will try
to achieve them.
Have you ever seen a landscape of nature without
human access? It has a mysterious and dreamy
atmosphere, not a landscape that we commonly see.
We present color themes by collecting the colors
of those mysterious and dreamy landscapes. In the
2022 S/S season, the focus will be on environmental
preservation, and the colors of nature without

its spaces, in a majestic way. The pandemic dictates
to humankind to learn from the nature: stop and
flourish again ... in respect, awareness, in the
resilience, in the calm, in the colors that animate
our personalities which has been hidden for too
long under a gray veil of frenzy and homologation.
Born again. This is the urgency of the time we live
in. Reborn together with nature and the rediscovery
of what it means to be alive and not pawns in an
economic game. Sustainability, ethics, resilience,
hospitality, inclusiveness, and liberated emotions are
the only themes they can find space in our future.

The boundaries between home life and office life
are gradually disappearing. People are
now looking for new methods to prioritize mind and
body health separately from external chaos factors. Bartu Basoglu
Being influenced by the basic design aesthetics, the
desire for comfort and emotional stimulation gives
priority to natural elements. The target is to obtain
completely natural products as a feedback of the
desire to be free from chaos in unity with nature
“zero chemical 100% natural”. I was inspired by
the feeling natural life offers to people. That is why
sustainability is the main element of this collection
by using all organic natural fibers, without any
chemicals and by adopting natural dyeing methods
and soft tones.

Over-consumption of fashion and textiles is
strongly affecting our planet. For this collection I
Aoife O’ Connor was greatly inspired by the current issues our world
faces, the ever-present threat of climate change
and the global pandemic that has affected us all.
For me, consumption, and more importantly over-
consumption can cause issues for our planet, our
well-being and the way we live our lives. I wanted
to create a collection and palette that encourages
owning less, appreciating more and still living
a life filled with intention and colour. Often, we
associate a minimal approach to fashion as dull or
monochromatic, but I believe we should be able to
incorporate vibrancy, longevity and diversity into our

Anthophilia
In the age of Anthophilia, humans and nature
will exist in symbiosis and become each other’s
opulence. People will come together to celebrate
the realization of the rainbow after the rain under Kahkasha Sidra
the clear sky and exchange rose tinted bouquets
of wellbeing and appreciation. This age will be the
time of reflection, un-learning and learning from
nature, for nature with mindful joy. Nature doesn’t
discriminate and nor shall we, the age of anthophilia
will be defined by kindness, awareness and respect
for changing notions of gender and body. - The
key theme of my capsule collection is respect for
changing notions of body and gender, free from the
stereotypical association of colors with gender. In
the times of seclusion where world is forced into
distancing, the high energy colors of my collection
aim to spark joyful conversations and communicate
positivity not just to the wearer but everyone in the
surrounding.

A million people or more were rescued by a doctor
Rintaro Iino and nurse in the worldwide pandemic. Still, they
are fighting against the virus for our health. Their
uniform is armour and rousing or recalling to unity
and renewed effort. Respecting the brave and heroic
feasts, colors of red and green-blue symbolize love
and dedication. Through this collection, using
organic cotton represents softness and warm heart
which the real heroes have. I want to pay tribute to
the real heroes in the worldwide pandemic.

Of Traced Wanderings
My Capsule Collection is a journey of research.
Research in traditions, roots, but also in the future
and in innovation. It follows the journey of an entity
- a shepherd, a man, a yarn, us - that travels through Francesco Iacovino
dystopian worlds. Now it is in a barren and arid
land, where the day is scorching and the night is
cold; now he crosses lands parched and consumed
by flames; or again, in a flooded world, where the ice
melts to make way for water. An apparently aimless
wandering told in a diary in which feelings, images
with all their shades of colours, but also techniques
and materials will be collected. The goal is clear:
rediscover the roots, tracing a map that tells the
origin of the materials and the paths they have taken
to get to where they are now. Sustainability appears
to be the true protagonist of this journey, the north
star that indicates the right route. Colours, stitches
and research aim at offering an aesthetic and
sensory journey that leads to rediscover not only the

Wildfire
Wildfire became more and more severe each year
around the globe. Even though the small, controlled
forest fire provides nutrients by burning down
dead organisms for new life to prosper in a healthy
Zishan Ye ecological system. The big, uncontrollable wildfires,
which 85% are caused by humans, are not only
destroying ecological systems, but also polluting
the air and accelerating global warming with large
emission of CO2. The October 2020 wildfire in
California emitted 90 million tons of CO2 in mid-
September, which is 30 million tons more than the
emission from providing power for the entire United
States. Therefore, in my creative proposal, one can
see the red and yellow fire burning through the
navy sky, making the smoky orange and pale purple
“apocalyptic” skyline. Only the natural elements
(yellow, red, orange, and navy blue, symbolizing
the fire and the normal skyline) are in their natural
color, the other dark tones all have greyscales added,
symbolizing the damage humans caused to the

Hope
In 2020, mass coral bleaching occurred in Great
Barrier Reef. Global warming is threatening the
Leung Hiu Ching
environment. Miraculously, the coral reefs are
recovering from bleaching faster than before
because there are fewer tourists. If we change our
living habits to an eco-friendlier way, there is still
hope for us to save the coral reefs and the planet.
This project takes coral bleaching as an inspiration,
using pink, green, blue, purple and natural colours.
The collection is designed for smart causal and
casual wear, based on the colours selected from the
mood board. People can wear them for different
activities.

Vo Thi Thu Hang has reached its limit. What should be developed at

for everybody. We narrow the gap between classes,
races and genders. Truly embracing the freedom
of expression for a better world. To convey that
message, I want to create a gender-inclusive digital
capsule collection that emphasizes my favourite
colour, as I believe it is the new grey, it’s pink,
inspired by Red Dragon Fruit - a species of cactus.
It is cultivated a lot in Vietnam and helping farmers
and SME thrive in the pandemic. Thanks to the soft-
power of the community, a similar story to Egyptian
cotton - a premium resource that used to produce
Filmar’s yarns.

Claustrophobic Love
I was Inspired by the works of the Japanese artist
Haruhiko Kawaguchi, famous for vacuum sealing Julian Cerro
couples and everything around with a landscape. He
presents a big contrast between bright colors such as
yellow that represents a sense of enlightenment and
more soft colors like baby pink of the trapped skin
of the human bodies, that convey toward a feeling of
fear, the lightness and heaviness of the environment
are giving life to an image where the things you love
and the world itself is one. In this collection I deal
with the theme of love, intended as the only way
out of the oppressive reality that we are all facing. A
love that should have the power to bring all things
together, even between races and disparities. But
