General Marking Guidance

              All candidates must receive the same
        treatment. Examiners must mark the first candidate in
        exactly the same way as they mark the last.
           Mark schemes should be applied positively.
        Candidates must be rewarded for what they have shown
        they can do rather than penalised for omissions.
             Examiners should mark according to the mark
        scheme not according to their perception of where the
        grade boundaries may lie.
             There is no ceiling on achievement. All marks on
        the mark scheme should be used appropriately.
           All the marks on the mark scheme are designed to be
        awarded. Examiners should always award full marks if
        deserved, i.e. if the answer matches the mark
        scheme. Examiners should also be prepared to award
        zero marks if the candidate’s response is not worthy of
        credit according to the mark scheme.
             Where some judgement is required, mark schemes
        will provide the principles by which marks will be awarded
        and exemplification may be limited.
              When examiners are in doubt regarding the
        application of the mark scheme to a candidate’s response,
        the team leader must be consulted.
             Crossed out work should be marked UNLESS the
        candidate has replaced it with an alternative response.

Mum and Dad

Question 1

M2   A papà piace invitare amici a casa per la cena, ma la mamma
     preferisce andare al ristorante perché non ama cucinare.

     A tutti e due piace la TV, ma alla mamma non piacciono i
     programmi sportivi; preferisce guardare documentari sulla
     natura.

     Papà ama andare in montagna, ma andiamo sempre al mare
     perché piace alla mamma.

     Spesso vado in bicicletta con papà perché a lui piace molto.

A trip to Montisola

F2   Tra dieci minuti prenderemo il traghetto per Montisola.
     Saliremo a piedi perché non è possibile portare veicoli a motore
     sull’isola.
     Arriveremo in tempo per il pranzo, al ristorante con vista sul lago.
     Dopo il pranzo potrete passeggiare lungo il lago.
     I più sportivi possono noleggiare una bicicletta per fare il giro
     completo dell’isola, lungo 9 chilometri.

F1   Fare esercizio fisico fa sicuramente bene al nostro corpo.

     Attenzione però: le attività troppo faticose o troppo prolungate
     fanno più male che bene.

     Una breve nuotata o una breve corsa a piedi o in bicicletta è
     tutto quel che serve.

     Se è fatto all’aria aperta, a contatto con la natura, l’esercizio
     fisico fa benissimo anche alla nostra mente e migliora l’umore.

     È sufficiente bere acqua prima e durante l’esercizio fisico. Non
     c’è bisogno di integrare con vitamine.

Part 1

M2   Ho sempre immaginato l’ostello della gioventù in periferia e non
     troppo pulito. Invece a Merano l’ostello era in centro, a cinque
     minuti dalla piazza principale, ed era pulitissimo.
     Eravamo in tre e siamo riusciti ad avere una camera a tre letti
     con bagno, così non dovevamo dividere il bagno con nessun
     altro. C’era pure una stanza dove si potevano mettere le
     biciclette. Se lo avessimo saputo, avremmo sicuramente
     portato le nostre.
     A differenza di alcuni ostelli che chiudono dalle 10 alle 14,
     questo era aperto tutto il giorno.

Part 2

M2   La colazione era compresa nel prezzo. C’era molta scelta e
     potevamo mangiare quanto volevamo. Così a volte
     mangiavamo abbastanza da non aver bisogno del pranzo. La
     sera andavamo a mangiare alla trattoria “Dolomiti” che faceva
     uno sconto speciale agli ospiti dell’ostello. Dopo cena si poteva
     guardare la TV, giocare a scacchi o parlare con gli altri ragazzi,
     molti dei quali erano stranieri. Abbiamo fatto amicizia con un
     gruppo di olandesi. Con loro parlavamo in inglese. Li abbiamo
     trovati molto simpatici.

F2   Non sono contenta della mia camera.
     Non riesco ad aprire la finestra.
     Vorrei cambiare l’aria perché in camera c’è un cattivo odore.
     Fa freddo e il riscaldamento non funziona.
     Ho provato il letto e ho notato che fa rumore.
     E il pavimento è sporco.

M1   Mi dispiace Signorina, vedo se ho un’altra camera libera.

F1   Cosa vuoi fare oggi, Mario?

M1   A me piacerebbe andare al parco. Nel parco c’è lo zoo che è
     molto interessante. Ti va, Luisa?

F1   C’è una barca che fa il giro della città lungo il fiume: comincia in
     centro e finisce proprio al parco. Che ne pensi, Davide?

M2   Certamente è meglio che andare a piedi!
     E stasera c’è un gruppo famoso che suona in piazza: mi
     piacerebbe andarci.

F2   Loredana ha sempre detto che vuole fare l’infermiera.

     Nicolino sta frequentando un corso di arte drammatica e spera
     di diventare attore, ma è molto difficile riuscirci!

     Fiorenzo sembra abbastanza interessato all’azienda
     commerciale del papà e ha deciso che lavorerà con lui.

     Amelia è più interessata a viaggiare che ad avere una carriera.
     Da quando ha finito l’università ha passato più tempo all’estero
     che a casa.

     Edoardo, il piccolino, dice che gli piacerebbe fare il pompiere o il
     medico: come se fossero la stessa cosa!

Part 1

F1   Devo comprare alcuni vestiti per le vacanze, ma non ho voglia
     di andare a girare per i negozi.

M1   Io ai negozi non ci vado quasi più. Acquisto quasi tutto online.
     Posso comprare tranquillamente da casa, all’ora che voglio, e
     spesso c’è più scelta online che al negozio.

F1   Io ho comprato qualche CD e il mio computer, ma non ho mai
     comprato vestiti. Credo che sia importante vederli e provarli
     prima di comprare.

M1   Puoi sempre restituire gli articoli che non ti piacciono e avere il
     rimborso. Spedire il pacco può essere costoso, ma costa meno
     che andare ai negozi!

Part 2

M1   I prezzi online sono spesso più bassi che al negozio, però devo
     riconoscere che qualche volta al negozio puoi chiedere uno
     sconto, mentre online non è possibile.

F1   Comunque, mi sono trovata bene con il computer: ho potuto
     fare la mia scelta grazie alle informazioni dettagliate presenti
     sul sito web. Ho anche mandato un’email per saperne di più.
     Lo so che nel negozio ci sono i commessi che ti possono
     consigliare, ma non sempre sanno molto e a volte non si
     spiegano chiaramente.
