Trattamenti
Trattamento utilizzato per i prodotti contract Urbantime è quello della cataforesi. La verniciatura in cataforesi è un
processo che prevede l’immersione dei manufatti in un bagno composto da vernice diluita con acqua che, tramite il
passaggio di corrente, riveste completamente la superficie delle parti immerse. Questo è uno dei più ecologici sistemi
di verniciatura industriale e al tempo stesso quello con più elevate caratteristiche di resistenza alla corrosione. Le
strutture dei tavoli LEG03, LEG04 vengono verniciate con polveri di poliestere.
Resistono alla corrosione?
I manufatti hanno ottenuto gli standard di resistenza alla corrosione UNI EN ISO 9227:2012. Il test di laboratorio,
condotto in camera a nebbia salina neutra, certifica la tenuta del materiale e dei rivestimenti superficiali simulandone
il comportamento in ambienti ad alta corrosione. Naturalmente gli elementi non devono essere scalfiti o vandalizzati
altrimenti inizierà il processo di ruggine nell’area danneggiata.
Manutenzione ordinaria
Le normative UNI EN ISO 12944-8 stabiliscono delle linee guida alla protezione anticorrosiva dell’acciaio. Per mantenere
l’efficacia di tale caratteristica, è fortemente consigliabile eseguire durante la vita del prodotto il programma di
manutenzione secondo le procedure che seguono.
MANUTENZIONE ORDINARIA PER PRODOTTI TRATTATI IN CATAFORESI:
• Con uso di acqua fredda e bassa pressione =min. 4 volte all’anno.
• Con uso di acqua calda (50-60gradi) e pressione a 3.5-4 bar= min. 2 volte all’anno.
La corretta esecuzione della manutenzione ordinaria determina le migliori condizioni per la durabilità del prodotto
e mantiene le caratteristiche di protezione dell’acciaio integre nel tempo. Omettere o limitare le azioni manutentive,
possono accelerare il degrado del prodotto.

Colorations and finishes
The RAL used for the contract chairs are RAL 3002 Carmine Red, RAL 9003 Signal White, RAL 9005 Jet Black, Pebble
grey RAL 7032, RAL 9005 Jet Black, RAL 1004 Golden Yellow and RAL 5023 Distant Blue.
Treatments
A treatment used for Urbantime contract products is cataphoresis. Cataphoretic coating is a process in which the
articles are immersed in a bath of paint diluted with water and charged by an electric current, which completely
coats the surface of the parts immersed. This is one of the most eco-friendly industrial painting systems and also
provides excellent resistance to corrosion. Polyester powder paint guarantees excellent resistance to chemical and
atmospheric agents and it is used for the Busy and Wire chairs, as the frame of the LEG03 and LEG04 tables.
Are they corrosion-resistant?
The products have obtained the corrosion resistance standards UNI EN ISO 9227:2012. The laboratory test, conducted
in a neutral salt spray chamber, certifies the strength of the material and surface coatings, simulating their behavior in
high-corrosion environments. Naturally, the elements must not be scratched or vandalized, otherwise the damaged
areas will start rusting.
Ordinary maintenance
ISO standards BS EN ISO 12944-8 set guidelines for corrosion protection of steel. In order to maintain the effectiveness
of this feature, it is highly recommended to execute the following procedures during product life-time:
ORDINARY MAINTENANCE FOR PRODUCTS TREATED WITH CATAPHORESIS:
• Use low pressure cold water, at least 4 times a year.
• Use hot water (50-60° C) and 3,5-4 bar pressure twice a year.
The correct execution of ordinary maintenance determines the best conditions for the durability of the product and
maintains the characteristics of protection of the steel intact over time. Omitting or limiting maintenance actions can
