There is a fringe area where several dynamics follow each others forming a network of very significant transformations. This is the case of the outskirt urban area between Milan and Segrate that most expresses this
dynamic scenario. The key that fits within this framework is given by the urban corridor between the Cassanese road and the railway track (yellow line), a field in which the changing outcome is uncertain, unfixed, therefore,
“uncertain territory”. The sourrounding area of this corridor is characterized by the size of the compact city of Milan and the territory beyond it’s railway line, thus to Segrate. So, the priority is to focus on this urban corridor
for the main function that gives access to the metropolitan city, possible by both public and private mobility (this one with the existing and under development radial roads). Only the declared inahbitants from this
trasformations would be 18.000 (about 15.000 related to Segrate city) more than today!1.5
