Magistrale, Ph.D. B federico.cerutti@unibs.it L’Ing. Dott. Federico Cerutti Ph.D. attualmente è ricercatore Rita Levi-Montalcini presso l’Università degli Studi di Brescia. Il programma Rita Levi-Montalcini, detto anche rientro dei cervelli, permette a giovani ricercatori di continuare la loro ricerca completamente finanziati dal Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca sul territorio Italiano. Il programma è altamente competitivo, con soltanto 24 posizioni disponibili per anno per tutto lo scibile universitario, con una percentuale di successo che si attesta intorno all’8%. Prima di vincere la borsa ministeriale, è stato il primo Direttore della Data Science Academy della Cardiff University, una delle dieci più importanti università britanniche. La sua rete di collaborazioni si estende sino all’UCLA (Los Angeles, USA), passando da laboratori di ricerca importanti come l’IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, e università come University College London, King’s College London, Imperial College London, e University of Southampton. Per quasi sette anni la sua ricerca è stata finanziata—tra gli altri—dal Laboratorio di Ricerche Militari dell’Esercito Americano e dal Ministero della Difesa Britannico. Federico Cerutti ha conseguito la Laurea Specialistica in Ingegneria Informatica (cum laude, 2008), e il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Ingegneria Informatica ed Automatica (2012) presso l’Università degli Studi di Brescia. Dopo un periodo come ricercatore presso la University of Aberdeen, nel 2015 è diventato docente universitario (lecturer) presso la Cardiff University, promosso poi al ruolo anziano (senior lecturer) nel 2018. Il Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca Italiano gli ha riconosciuto l’abilitazione sia a Professore Associato che a Professore Ordinario, rispettivamente nel 2018 e nel 2019. È un ricercatore attivo nell’ambito dell’intelligenza artificiale in particolare per quanto riguarda il supporto a decisioni che devono essere prese a partire da dati incerti e potenzialmente ingannevoli. La sua esperienza è riconosciuta a livello internazionale, come testimoniano i tutorial che ha tenuto durante le edizioni del 2015, 2017, e 2019 della International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, una delle due conferenze mondiali più importanti per l’Intelligenza Artificiale.. Ha scritto più di 70 articoli accetati per pubblicazione a seguito di riesame tra pari, e ha curato l’edizione di due libri..
