Spectrum: Killer Knots from Outer Space

1_introduzione

alla caccia di uccelli rari negli archivi Audubon in compagnia di Maarten de Ceulaer;

sull’illimitata capacità di ricerca e sperimentazione di cc-tapis nell’ambito di diverse
tecniche e finiture.

3_about cc-tapis
Nato in Francia. Progettato a Milano.

fordite collection
standard color version
designed by patricia urquiola

rug invaders
designed by cc-tapis design-lab

cc-tapis design-lab

Plasterworks Collection
designed by david/nicolas

accostamenti cromatici e texture a contrasto. Ogni motivo, disegnato a mano, è stato
poi trasformato in un finissimo tappeto annodato a mano in lana dell’Himalaya e seta.

standard color version - completely undyed
designed by studiopepe.

accostato a sezioni ultra raffinate e rifinite, meticolosamente scolpite a mano.

feathers collection
standard color version
designed by maarten de ceulaer

è imbattuto nelle illustrazioni di John James Audubon e John Gould. Per creare
un’immagine, De Ceulaer scansiona, isola digitalmente e combina insieme vari uccelli,
spesso modificandoli e trasformandoli in un’ulteriore astrazione. I collage vengono poi
trasformati in tappeti ricchi e sofisticati, annodati a mano in lana e seta himalayana.

tidal collection
designed by germans ermičs

diventare l’elemento principale. Una superficie bidimensionale diviene tridimensionale
man mano che il colore crea movimento e animazione all’interno del disegno. “Inizio

2019 color versions
designed by cristina celestino

ultimate bliss
2019 color version
designed by mae engelgeer

An evolution on the Bliss aesthetic, the Ultimate Bliss increases the sculptural and 3D
effect which characterizes the collection, creating an extremely sophisticated textile
landscape.

The rounded shapes of the design play with subtle colors which are enriched by a variety
of pile-heights in Himalayan wool and pure silk. As the designer says “the design is
so dense you can get lost in the Bliss.”

mae engelgeer

                     Dutch designer Mae Engelgeer
                     attended the Amsterdam
                     Fashion Instituut where she
                     specialised in textile design,
                     graduating in 2004. Later she
                     was accepted to the prestigious
                     Master Course in Applied Arts
                     at the Sandberg Instituut and
                     developed her first collection
                     of textiles at TextielLab.
                     In 2014 Engelgeer opened her
                     own studio in Amsterdam,
                     working on product design and
                     development, installations, and
                     international collaborations.
                     Mae Engelgeer’s work is
                     characterised by a typical use
                     of colour, geometric shapes
                     and linear elements which is
                     unmistakably hers.
An eye for detail and sense of
                     composition are important in
her designs when it comes to
                     introducing balance throughout
a design. Her style has an
                     open character that could be
                     described as minimalistic with
                     a playful twist. She cleverly
                     combines craft, new technology
                     and materials into beautiful
                     textiles that enrich any
                     home, without losing ground on
                     refinement or quality.
