IL FESTIVAL DEL GELATO
Il festival dedicato solo al gelato è cominciato nel 2010 a Firenze, il luogo
della nascita di Bernardo Buontalenti, considerato ‘il padre del gelato’.
L’evento ha avuto tanto successo, così è stato ripetuto per due anni, sempre
a Firenze e solo per gli italiani. Piano piano sempre più persone hanno
partecipato a questo gustoso festival.
Poi, nel 2013, è cambiato tutto. È nato, infatti, un laboratorio mobile del
gelato. Da allora il festival può spostarsi da una città all’altra in giro per
l’Italia, creando un festival del gelato in ogni regione italiana.
Ma presto, il festival ha attirato l’interesse dei visitatori stranieri, specialmente
dei gelatieri di tutto il mondo. Seguendo questo successo, l’evento è
diventato veramente internazionale, con la costruzione di altri due laboratori
mobili che possono andare da nazione a nazione.
Perché fare questo? Lo scopo è di far conoscere alla gente il vero gelato
artigianale e com’è prodotto e, quindi, portare questo meraviglioso dolce in
tutto il mondo.

Chi vuole essere uno sportivo professionista?
Da piccolo sognavo di essere un giocatore di hockey sul ghiaccio. Dopo
qualche anno di successi nelle squadre junior in uno sport quasi sconosciuto
in Italia, ho dovuto decidere se seguire la mia grande passione, l’hockey, o
restare in Italia. Il mio cuore ha vinto. Sono partito per il Canada, la capitale
mondiale dell’hockey sul ghiaccio, dove sono stato scelto per una squadra.
Questo ha significato, però, un lungo periodo molto lontano dalle persone
che amavo, familiari, amici. Tutto era molto difficile perché non avevo mai
studiato l’inglese e non capivo molto. Abitavo da solo e non sapevo cucinare
niente! Mangiavo sempre panini! Poi, un giorno sono caduto in bicicletta. È
stato un momento che ha cambiato tutto. Un ginocchio rotto e la mia carriera
sportiva è terminata per sempre. La mia vita era finita, o così credevo. Non
avevo soldi, non avevo una laurea, non avevo un lavoro ed ero lontano da
casa.
Ma c’è sempre speranza. Sono tornato in Italia e sull’aereo ho conosciuto
la donna che oggi è la mia fidanzata. Mi sono iscritto all’università e sto
studiando psicologia dello sport, vivo con i miei e lavoro part-time in una
palestra. Non potrei essere più felice.
