Introduzione
Italian is a Romance language. Other Romance or Neolatin languages
are French, Spanish, Rumanian and Portuguese. Italian derives from
Latin which was by the ancient Romans.

Italian as you learn about some aspects of Italian life.

1L'alfabeto italiano
The Italian alphabet consists of 21 letters and five more letters
that appear only in foreign words.
Italian vowels are represented by the five letters a , e , i, o, u.

8D. The Numbers (0-100) - I numeri
1. In Italian, as in English, there are cardinal numbers and
ordinal numbers. Cardinal numbers (uno, due, tre, etc.) may
either stand alone or precede a noun. Cardinal numbers (except
uno) are used for counting and also to express the date.
