Leggere il manuale d’uso del nuovo telefono e conservarlo per future consultazioni.
Per attivare le funzioni di visualizzazione del chiamante e avviso di chiamata, si deve
sottoscrivere un contratto con il gestore locale di telefonia.

USO PER CUI IL DISPOSITIVO È DESTINATO
Il telefono Studio 2 plus è stato progettato per essere usato in connessione alla rete
analogica PSTN nazionale.
IMBALLO
Verificare che l’imballo ed il contenuto non presentino danni visibili. Se alcune parti
non sono presenti o risultano danneggiate, contattare immediatamente il rivenditore.
In questi casi non tentare di utilizzare il dispositivo. In caso il prodotto debba essere
rimandato al fornitore, assicurarsi di spedirlo con il suo imballo originale.
CONSIGLI PER LA COLLOCAZIONE DEL TELEFONO
È preferibile utilizzare il telefono in ambienti protetti con un campo di temperatura
compreso tra 5 e 40°C ed una umidità relativa compresa tra 20 e 75%.
Evitare di esporre il telefono direttamente ai raggi solari o a fonti di calore.
È sconsigliato collocare il telefono in ambienti particolarmente soggetti a polvere, in
quanto l’accumularsi di depositi può compromettere il regolare funzionamento dei
particolari soggetti a movimento.
CONSIGLI PER L’INSTALLAZIONE DEL TELEFONO
Il telefono Studio 2 plus è stato progettato per funzionare senza batterie pertanto se
la linea telefonica viene scollegata il contenuto delle memorie VIP, CLID, data e ora
potrebbe essere cancellato.
PULIZIA DEL TELEFONO
Per la pulizia del telefono utilizzare esclusivamente un panno umido o antistatico. Non
usare liquidi volatili come benzina, alcool, solventi ecc. o panni trattati chimicamente in
quanto ciò può rovinare la finitura delle superfici.
Normalmente i piedini del telefono non segnano la superficie di appoggio ma, in
considerazione della varietà di materiali disponibili sul campo, si consiglia di pulire
regolarmente i punti di appoggio.

PRECAUZIONI DI SICUREZZA
Per ridurre il rischio di incendio, folgorazione e danni a persone, osservare le normali
precauzioni di sicurezza durante l’uso dell’apparecchiatura telefonica.
1. Leggere attentamente le istruzioni.
2. Rispettare tutte le avvertenze e le istruzioni.
3. Scollegare l’apparecchio dalla presa prima delle operazioni di pulizia con un panno
umido.
4. Non utilizzare l’apparecchio in prossimità di acqua.
5. Non posizionare l’apparecchio su carrelli, supporti o tavoli poco stabili. L’apparecchio
potrebbe cadere e danneggiarsi gravemente.
6. Non poggiare alcun oggetto sul cavo telefonico. Non disporre l’apparecchio in luoghi in
cui il cavo possa essere calpestato.
7. Non inserire nell’apparecchio alcun oggetto che possa entrare in contatto con
punti in tensione o causare un corto circuito, con conseguente rischio di incendio o
folgorazione.
8. Per ridurre il rischio di folgorazione, non smontare l’apparecchio. Rivolgersi a personale
di assistenza qualificato per eseguire manutenzione o riparazioni, poiché apertura e
rimontaggio non corretti possono causare rischi.
9. Regolare solo i controlli menzionati nel manuale d’uso. La non corretta regolazione dei
controlli può causare danni per i quali potrebbe essere richiesto l’intervento di un tecnico
qualificato.
10. Ricorrere all’assistenza di personale qualificato nei casi seguenti.
– Cavo telefonico o spina danneggiati o logori.
– Se del liquido si è rovesciato sull’apparecchio.
– Se l’apparecchio è stato esposto alla pioggia o all’acqua.
– Se l’apparecchio non funziona normalmente nonostante si rispetti quanto indicato nel
manuale d’uso.
– Se l’apparecchio è caduto o è danneggiato.
– Se l’apparecchio sembra funzionare in modo insolito o diverso dalla prima
installazione.
11. Evitare l’uso del telefono durante temporali con fulmini. Esiste il rischio di scosse elettriche
a causa dei fulmini.
12. Non utilizzare il telefono in prossimità di fughe di gas.
13. Essendo magnetico, il ricevitore del microtelefono può trattenere materiali pericolosi
come spilli e graffette metalliche.

INSTALLAZIONE
1. Collegare un’estremità del cavo spiralato alla presa jack del microtelefono e l’altra alla
presa jack dell’unità base.
2. Collegare un’estremità della linea telefonica alla presa jack dell’unità base e l’altra alla
presa jack a muro.

Nel caso di collegamento alla linea ADSL, potrebbe essere necessario interporre
tra il telefono e la presa telefonica l’apposito filtro. Per maggiori informazioni
pregasi contattare il Customer Service del Gestore di telefonia.

1. Impostazione della lingua
Con il microtelefono agganciato, tenere premuto per 3 secondi il tasto per
accedere a IMPOSTAZIONE LINGUA. Premere il tasto per selezionare la
lingua. Premere il tasto per confermare.
2. Impostazione del contrasto
Dopo aver impostato la lingua, premere il tasto per accedere all’impostazione
del CONTRASTO LCD. Il display LCD visualizza IMPOSTAZIONE CONTRASTO. Premere
il tasto per selezionare il contrasto (1-5). Premere il tasto per
confermare.
3. Impostazione di anno, data e ora
Dopo aver impostato il CONTRASTO LCD, premere il tasto per accedere
all’impostazione di ANNO, DATA e ORA. Le cifre dell’anno lampeggiano. Premere il tasto
per selezionare l’anno. Premere il tasto per confermare. Quindi, le
cifre del mese lampeggiano. Premere il tasto per selezionare il mese e
premere il tasto per confermare. Impostare allo stesso modo la data e l’ora.
4. Impostazione del prefisso di zona
Dopo aver impostato ANNO, DATA e ORA, premere il tasto per accedere
all’impostazione del IMPOST.COD.LOC. (prefisso di zona). Il primo di cinque numeri
lampeggia. Premere il tasto per selezionare la cifra e premere il tasto
per confermare. Impostare allo stesso modo gli altri numeri. Avendo impostato
un prefisso di zona, ad es. 248, se si riceve una chiamata da un numero avente lo stesso
prefisso, ad es. 248-1234567, il numero chiamante sarà visualizzato come 1234567.
5. Impostazione del prefisso
Dopo aver impostato il IMPOST.COD.LOC. premere il tasto per accedere
all’impostazione PREFISSO LUNGO. Il primo di tre numeri lampeggia. Premere il tasto
per selezionare la cifra e premere il tasto per confermare. Allo stesso
modo, impostare ogni cifra del prefisso utilizzato per aggiungere lo specifico numero
(cioè 0 o 9) davanti al numero dell’identificativo chiamante e per la preselezione. Questo
prefisso è utilizzato in particolare se il telefono è collegato a un PABX.
6. Impostazione della suoneria
Dopo aver impostato il PREFISSO LUNGO, premere il tasto per accedere al TIPO
SUONERIA. Premere il tasto per selezionare la melodia (1-16) e premere il
tasto per confermare.
7. Impostazione del volume della suoneria
Dopo TIPO SUONERIA, premere il tasto per accedere all’impostazione del
VOLUME SUONERIA. Premere il tasto per selezionare il volume della
suoneria e premere il tasto SET per confermare.
8. Impostazione del tempo di apertura della linea
Dopo aver impostato il VOLUME SUONERIA, premere il tasto per accedere
all’impostazione del FLASH TIME (tempo di apertura). Premere il tasto per
selezionare il tempo di apertura della linea (100 ms, 200 ms, 300 ms, 400 ms, 600 ms, 900
ms) e premere il tasto per confermare.

Dopo aver impostato il FLASH TIME, premere il tasto per accedere all’impostazione
del PAUSE TIME. Premere il tasto per selezionare il tempo di pausa (1,2 sec,
2,4 sec, 3,6 sec; valore predefinito 2,4 sec) e premere il tasto per confermare.
10. Impostazione DTMF o Modalità a impulsi (DTMF predefinito, impostazione non
necessaria se corrispondente alla modalità di composizione del gestore)
Dopo aver impostato il PAUSE TIME, premere il tasto per accedere all’impostazione
COMP. IN DTMF o PULSE (modalità a impulsi). Premere il tasto per
selezionare la modalità (DTMF o PULSE) e premere il tasto per confermare.
11. Impostazione T1, T2, T3
Dopo aver impostato COMP. IN DTMF o PULSE, premere il tasto per accedere
all’impostazione T1, T2, T3. Questa funzione è impostata per specifici PABX. L’utente
può ignorare questa funzione.
12. Ripristino delle impostazioni predefinite di fabbrica
Attenzione! Tenendo premuto il tasto / per 8 secondi, l’apparecchio telefonico
viene riportato alle impostazioni predefinite di fabbrica e tutte le memorie degli identificativi
chiamanti e a richiamo diretto vengono cancellate.
FUNZIONAMENTO
A. TELEFONO
1. Effettuare una chiamata
Sollevare il microtelefono o premere il tasto e comporre il numero. Quando l’utente
chiamato risponde, il display LCD visualizza automaticamente la durata della chiamata.
2. Preselezione
Con il microtelefono agganciato, comporre il numero e premere il tasto o sollevare il
microtelefono. Il numero viene chiamato automaticamente.
3. Rispondere a una chiamata
Per rispondere a una chiamata, sollevare il microtelefono o premere il tasto .
4. Terminare una chiamata
Per terminare a una chiamata, riagganciare il microtelefono o premere il tasto .
5. Commutare la chiamata dal microtelefono al vivavoce
Per conversare in vivavoce, premere il tasto e riagganciare il microtelefono.
6. Commutare la chiamata dal vivavoce al microtelefono
Sollevare il microtelefono: la conversazione viene commutata automaticamente alla
modalità microtelefono.
7. Attesa
a. In modalità microtelefono, premendo il tasto si esclude il microfono del
microtelefono (è possibile ascoltare l’interlocutore, ma questi non può ascoltare a sua
volta).
b. In modalità vivavoce, premendo il tasto la linea viene messa in attesa con la
musica. Non è possibile ascoltare in vivavoce l’interlocutore e questi non può ascoltare a
sua volta.
c. Ripresa della linea: per riprendere una chiamata in attesa, sollevare il microtelefono o
premere il tasto oppure premere di nuovo il tasto .

Se il telefono è collegato a un PABX, premere il tasto e il numero dell’interno per
trasferire la chiamata a tale interno.
9. Pausa
Premere il tasto per inserire una pausa di 1,2/2,4/3,6 secondi impostabili con
PAUSE TIME. Il valore predefinito è 2,4 secondi.
PROCEDURA CON CENTRALINO PABX
9.1. Sollevate il microtelefono oppure premere il tasto .
9.2. Attendete il tono di libero del centralino PABX.
9.3. Digitate il codice di accesso alla linea telefonica (solitamente lo 0).
9.4. Premete il tasto per inserire una PAUSA.
9.5. Attendete il tono di libero dalla centrale.
9.6. Digitate il numero telefonico da chiamare.
9.7. A fine conversazione riagganciate il microtelefono oppure premere il tasto .
Con i PABX Urmet non è necessario inserire la PAUSA.
10. Ricomposizione
Sollevare il microtelefono o premere il tasto , quindi premere per ricomporre
gli ultimi numeri chiamati.
11. Ultimo numero
Con il microtelefono agganciato, premere il tasto per visualizzare l’ultimo numero
chiamato oppure premere ripetutamente il tasto per scorrere e visualizzare gli
ultimi 16 numeri chiamati. Sollevare il microtelefono o premere il tasto per comporre
il numero visualizzato.
12. Impostazione delle 10 memorie a richiamo diretto per composizione rapida
a. MEMORIZZAZIONE: Con il microtelefono agganciato, premere il tasto ,
inserire il numero che si desidera memorizzare, se si vuole memorizzare una pausa
premere il tasto e premere il corrispondente tasto di memoria a richiamo diretto
per composizione rapida 1 (1~10).
b. COMPOSIZIONE: Sollevare il microtelefono o premere il tasto , quindi premere il
tasto di memoria 1 (1~10) per comporre automaticamente il numero memorizzato.
13. Prefisso
Se è stato impostato un PREFISSO LUNGO (ad esempio 0 P 0 ossia zero pausa zero),
premere due volte il tasto per aggiungere automaticamente il PREFISSO
davanti al numero dell’identificativo chiamante. Questo prefisso è utilizzato in particolare
se il telefono è collegato a un PABX.
B. IDENTIFICATIVO DEL CHIAMANTE
Le ricordiamo che per poter usufruire di questa funzione potrebbe essere necessario
sottoscrivere l’abbonamento al servizio con il gestore della rete.
Inoltre, se il telefono è collegato a un centralino PABX, è necessario programmare la funzione
di identificativo del chiamante sul centralino PABX per abilitare il passaggio delle informazioni
tra la rete e il telefono; per fare ciò seguire le istruzioni sul manuale d’uso del centralino.
La funzione identificativo del chiamante vi permette di visualizzare sul display il numero
dell’abbonato che vi sta chiamando.
Il telefono dopo la ricezione del primo squillo visualizzerà, sul display, il numero di chi vi
chiama.

Oppure il messaggio FUORI AREA (se il chiamante non si trova nell’area di copertura del
servizio).
Nel caso di chiamate ripetute da parte dello stesso numero, il display ve le indicherà con la
scritta REP e ora, data sono relative all’ultima chiamata ricevuta.
Se il numero del chiamante è composto da più di 16 cifre, il display mostrerà sulla riga
centrale le prime 16 per due secondi circa e le altre (massimo 20 cifre) verranno visualizzate
alternate con le prime, se il numero è memorizzato in agenda il display mostrerà anche il
nome alternandolo con la seconda parte del numero.
Se si desidera rispondere alla chiamata è sufficiente sollevare il microtelefono oppure premere
il tasto .
1. Visualizzazione dell’identificativo del chiamante
Con il microtelefono agganciato, premere il tasto per visualizzare il numero
del chiamante e l’ora della chiamata.
2. Eliminazione di identificativi di chiamanti
a. Durante il controllo delle chiamate in entrata, premere il tasto per
cercare la chiamata che si desidera eliminare. Premere una volta il tasto o
per richiedere l’eliminazione del numero. Premere di nuovo il tasto o per
confermare.
b. Durante il controllo delle chiamate in entrata, premere il tasto per
visualizzare gli identificativi dei chiamanti.
Tenere premuto il tasto per 3 secondi per eliminare tutte le chiamate.
3. Richiamare un identificativo chiamante
Con il microtelefono agganciato, premere il tasto per selezionare il numero
da chiamare dall’elenco degli identificativi chiamanti e sollevare il microtelefono o premere
il tasto per comporre il numero. Se è stato impostato un PREFISSO
LUNGO, premere due volte il tasto per aggiungere automaticamente il
PREFISSO LUNGO davanti al numero dell’identificativo chiamante.
4. Impostare/rimuovere/comporre un numero VIP
a. Con il microtelefono agganciato, premere il tasto per selezionare il numero
da impostare come numero VIP. Premendo il tasto , il numero viene impostato
come numero VIP. Il numero VIP rimane sempre nell’elenco degli identificativi chiamanti.
Quando si raggiunge il numero di 76 identificativi chiamanti memorizzati, un nuovo
identificativo chiamante sostituisce automaticamente il primo identificativo memorizzato,
mentre un numero VIP non viene mai sostituito a meno che non venga volontariamente
eliminato. Procedendo allo stesso modo, è possibile impostare fino a 20 numeri VIP.
b. Mentre si scorrono i numeri degli identificativi chiamanti, premere di nuovo il tasto
per rimuovere l’impostazione VIP.
c. Premere ripetutamente il tasto per selezionare il numero VIP che si desidera
comporre e premere il tasto o .

1. Memorizzazione di numeri nella rubrica
Con il microtelefono agganciato, premere il tasto . Il display LCD visualizza IN EDIT ↑
RICERCA ↓.
a. Premere il tasto per entrare nella modalità di modifica. Inserire il nome.
b. Premere il tasto per accedere alla pagina di inserimento dei numeri telefonici e
inserire il numero.
c. Premere il tasto per salvare l’inserimento fatto e inserire un altro nome e numero.
È possibile memorizzare nella rubrica fino a 80 numeri. Al raggiungimento di 80 numeri, il
display LCD visualizza MEMORIA PIENA.
2. Consultazione della rubrica
Con il microtelefono agganciato o sollevato, premere il tasto per accedere alla pagina
della rubrica. Il display LCD visualizza IN EDIT ↑ RICERCA ↓.
a. Premere il tasto , il display LCD visualizza “INSERIRE NOME”, premere i tasti
/ per scorrere i numeri della rubrica, premere il tasto per scorrere i numeri
della rubrica dal primo all’ultimo, premere il tasto per scorrere i numeri della rubrica
dall’ultimo al primo.
b. Premere il tasto , il display LCD visualizza “INSERIRE NOME”. Inserendo la lettera
iniziale, è possibile scorrere i nomi presenti nella rubrica che iniziano con tale lettera.
3. Cancellazione della rubrica
In modalità di consultazione della rubrica, tenere premuto per 2 secondi il tasto per
cancellare il numero visualizzato della rubrica.
4. Composizione dalla rubrica
a. Con il microtelefono agganciato, scorrere la rubrica per cercare il numero desiderato e
premere il tasto o sollevare il microtelefono per comporre il numero memorizzato.
b. Con il microtelefono sollevato, scorrere la rubrica per cercare il numero desiderato e
premere il tasto per comporre il numero memorizzato.
GUIDA ALLA RICERCA GUASTI
SINTOMO CAUSA E RIMEDIO
Il telefono non funziona. Verificare che il cavo telefonico sia
correttamente collegato alla presa jack a
muro e all’unità base.
Il volume della suoneria è troppo basso. Verificare l’impostazione del volume della
suoneria.
È possibile ricevere ma non effettuare Verificare che l’impostazione DTMF/impulsi
chiamate. corrisponda alla modalità di composizione
del gestore.

Qualora sia necessario, il telefono può essere fissato a una parete. In tal caso, l’utente deve
modificare la posizione della guida per il gancio del microtelefono e fissare l’unità base alla
parete nel modo descritto di seguito.
1. Modificare la posizione della guida per il gancio del microtelefono
a. Rimuovere la guida per il gancio del microtelefono facendola scorrere verso l’alto.
b. Ruotarla di 180 gradi e reinserirla. La guida per il gancio del microtelefono è pronta per
il fissaggio a muro (Figura 1).
2. Fissare l’unità base alla parete
a. Scegliere una posizione vicina alla presa jack a muro del telefono.
b. Segnare sulla parete due punti distanti 8,3 cm in verticale (utilizzare la Figura 2 come
maschera).
c. Prima di eseguire i fori, verificare che in corrispondenza dei segni tracciati non corrano
cavi elettrici o tubazioni all’interno della parete.
d. Eseguire i fori e inserire le viti lasciando circa 2 mm tra le teste delle viti e il muro (Figura
3).
e. Fissare l’unità base alla parete.

INTENDED USE OF THE DEVICE
The Studio 2 plus telephone was designed for use in connection to a national analogue
PSTN.
PACKAGING
Check that the packing and the contents are not visibly damaged. Contact the retailer
immediately if parts are either missing or damaged. Do not attempt to use the device
in this case. Send the product back in its original packing if it is damaged.
RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION LOCATION
It is advisable to use the telephone in sheltered environments with temperature in the
range from 5 to 40°C and relative humidity in the range from 20 to 75%.
Keep the telephone away from directly sunlight or sources of heat.
It is advisable not to install the telephone in particularly dusty environments because
the accumulation of dust can compromise the correct operation of moving parts.
INSTALLATION ADVICE
The Studio 2 plus telephone was designed to work without batteries. Consequently,
the data stored in the VIP and CLID memories and the date and time could be deleted
if the telephone is disconnected from the telephone line.
CLEANING THE TELEPHONE
Use a moist or antistatic cloth for cleaning the telephone only. Do not use volatile
liquids, like petrol, alcohol, solvents, etc., or chemically treated cloths: they could
damage the surface finish.
Although, the telephone feet do not usually leave marks, you may need to clean the
table top regularly given the variety of materials used.

5. Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The product may faIl,
causing serious damage to the product.
6. Do not allow anything to rest on the telephone cord. Do not locate this product where the
cord will be abused by persons walking on it.
7. Never put foreign objects of any kind into the product as they may touch dangerous
voltage points or short out parts that could result in a risk of fire or electrical shock.
8. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not disassemble this Product, Take it to a
qualified service person if service or repair work is required. Incorrect opening and
reassembly may cause risk.
9. Adjust only the controls that are covered by the operating instructions. Improper
adjustment of controls may result in damage that could require extensive work by a
qualified technician.
10. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel if the following should occur:
– If liquid has been spilled into the product.
– If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
– If the product does not operate normally by following operating instructions.

1. Connect one end of handset coil cord into the jack of the handset and connect the other
end into the handset jack of the base unit.
2. Plug one end of phone line into the line cord jack of the base unit and connect the other
end to the wall jack.

A specific filter may be needed between the telephone and the telephone socket
when connecting to an ADSL line.

FUNCTION SETUP
1. Set the Language
In on-hook status, press and hold for 3 seconds to enter LANGUAGE SETUP.
Press to select the language. Press to confirm.
2. Set the Contrast
After set up the LANGUAGE, press to access SET LCD CONTRAST setup. LCD
display SETTING CONTRAST. Press to select the contrast (1-5). Press
to confirm.
3. Set Year, Date and Time
After set up the SET LCD CONTRAST, press to access the YEAR, DATE and TIME
setup. The digits of the year will flash. Press to select the year.Press
to confirm. Then digits of the month will flash. Press to select the month and
press to confirm. Use the same method to set up the date and time.
4. Set Local Code
After set up YEAR, DATE and TIME, press to access the SET LOCAL CODE (area
code) setup, and the first of five codes will flash. Press to select the digit
and press to confirm. Use the same method to set up the other codes. If you set
up an area code, eg: 248-1234567, when you receive a telephone number from this area
code 248, Caller ID will show 1234567 only.
5. Set Prefix Code
After set up the SET LOCAL CODE, press to access the PREFIX setting.
DS4057-001C 17The first digit of the three will flash. Press to select the digit and press
to confirm . Use the same method to continue setting each code prefix code is
used for adding specific number (ie. 0 or 9) in front of dialing numbers of caller ID, and
predial,especially used behind PABX.
6. Set the Ring Melodies
After set up the PREFIX CODE, press to access the RINGER MELODY setup.
Press to select the music(1-16) and press to confirm.
7. Set the Ring Volume
After set up the RINGER MELODY, press to access the RINGER VOL. setup. Press
to select the ring volume (1-4) and press to confirm.
8. Set Flash Time (This setting for using behind of PABX only)
After set up the RINGER VOL., press to enter the FLASH TIME setup. Press
to select the flash time (100ms, 200ms, 300ms, 400ms,600ms, 900ms) and
press to confirm.
9. Set Pause Time
After set up the FLASH TIME, press to enter the Pause Time set up. Press
to select the PAUSE TIME (1.2 sec, 2.4 sec, 3.6 sec, default is 2.4 sec) and
press to confirm.
10. Set DTMF or Pulse Mode (Default in DTMF, No need to set if it meet telecom dialing
mode)
After set up the PAUSE TIME, press to access the DIAL IN DTMF or DIAL IN
PULSE setup. Press to select the mode (DTMF or PULSE) and press
to confirm.
11. Set T1,T2, T3
After set up DIAL IN DTMF or DIAL IN PULSE, press to access T1 ,T2,T3 set up.
This function is set for specific PABX. Users can ignore this function.
12. Restart to factory default setting
Warning: Press and hold the key / for 8 seconds, will restart the phone set to
factory default setting and all Caller ID, speed dial memories wllI be cleared.
OPERATION
A. TELEPHONE
1. Make a Call:
Pick up the handset or press to get dial tone and dial the number. When the called
party answers the phone,the LCD will time the call automatically.
2. Pre-dial:
In on-hook status, dial the phone number and press or pick up the handset. The
number will be dialed automatically.
3. Answer the Call:
Pick up the handset or press to answer the call.
4. End a Call:

5. Switch Talk Mode from Handset to Speakerphone:
Press , then hang up the handset to talk through the speakerphone.
6. Switch Talk Mode from Speakerphone to handset:
Pick up the handset, the talk mode will switch to handset automatically.
7. Hold
a. ln handset talk mode, press , you may hear the call party’s talking from the
handset, but the call party can’t hear you.
b. ln speakerphone talk mode,press ,line will be held with music. You can’t hear the
call party’s talking from the Speakerphone, and the call party can’t hear you.
c. Hold release: Pick up the handset or press or press again to release the call.
8. R
Press & extension number to transfer the line to another extension if the phone runs
on a PABX system.
9. Pause:
Press the button to enter a 1, 2/2, 4/3, 6 second pause. The pause time can be
programmed using the PAUSE TIME option. Default is 2.4 seconds.
PROCEDURE WITH PABX SWITCHBOARD
9.1. Pick up the handset or press .
9.2. Wait for the PABX switchboard dial tone.
9.3. Dial the telephone line access code (usually 0).
9.4. Press to add a PAUSE.
9.5. Wait for the dial tone.
9.6. Dial the number to call.
9.7. Either hang up the handset or press at the end of the conversation.
The Urmet PABX doesn’t need insert the PAUSE.
10. Redial:
Pick up the handset or press , press to redial the last dialed numbers.
11. Out:
In on-hook status,press to review the last dialed number, press continuously
to review last 16 dialed numbers, pick up handset or press to dial the reviewing
number.
12. Sets up 10 One-Touch Speed Dial Memories:
a. STORING: With the handset on-hook, press and enter the number to be
stored. Hold the button pressed to store a pause and press speed dial button 1
(1~10).
b. DIALLING: Pick up the handset or press , then press speed dial button 1 (1~10) to
automatically dial the stored number.
13. Prefix code:
If you have set up a PREFIX (e.g. 0 P 0, i.e. “zero pause zero”), press twice
to add PREFIX in front of the telephone number automatically, PREFIX especially used
behind PABX.

You may need to subscribe to a service offered by your telephone operator to use this
function.
The caller ID function must be programmed on the PABX switchboard to enable the transit
of information between network and telephone. Follow the instructions in the switchboard
operation manual.
The caller ID function is used to show the caller’s telephone number on the display.
The caller’s phone number will appear on the display after the first ring.

Alternatively, the message NOT AVAILABLE (if the caller is in an area which is not covered by
the service) will appear.
The message REP, time and date of the last call will appear on the display if several calls
were received by the same number.
If the caller’s number is longer than 16 digits, the first 16 digits will appear on the central line
for approximately two seconds. The remaining numbers (up to 20) will be alternated with the
first. The display will also show the name alternated with the second part of the number if the
number is stored in the phonebook.
Simply pick up the handset or press to answer the call.
1. Caller ID Review:
In on-hook status, press to review the caller’s phone number and the time
of call.
2. Delete Caller IDs:
a. When you check the incoming calls, press to find the call you wish to
delete. Press or once to ask delete the number. Press or again
to comfirm.
b. When you check the incoming calls, press to review Caller IDs, Press and
Hold for 3 seconds to delete all calls.
3. Call Back from the Caller IDs:
In on-hook status, press to select the call you wish to dial from the caller ID
list, pick up handset or press and the number will be dialed. If you have
set up a PREFIX, press twice to add the PREFIX in front of telephone
number automatically.
4. Set Remove/Dial VIP Number:
a. In on-hook status, press to select a number you wish to set as a VIP
number. Press and the number will be set as a VIP number. VIP number will be kept
in Caller ID list all the time. When Caller ID memories reach 76, new Caller ID will replace
the first Caller ID memory automatically, but VIP will not be replaced unless VIP setting is
removed.You can set 20 VIP numbers at most using the same method.
b. When you review the Caller ID numbers, press again to remove the
VIP setting.

press or to dial.
C. PHONE BOOK
1. Store Phone Book Memories:
In on-hook status, press . LCD will display ADD ↑ SEARCH ↓.
a. Press to access the telephone number input page and enter the telephone
number.
b. Press to save and enter another name and phone number. You can store 80 entries
at most in the phone book. Once the entries reached 80, the LCD will display MEMORY
FULL.
2. Review phone book
In on-hook status or picking up the handset status, press to access the phone book
page,LCD will display ADD ↑ SEARCH ↓.
a. press , TO ENTER edit status, the operation is same as the above store phone
book entries.
b. press , LCD will display “PLS INPUT NAME”, press / to review the phone
book record, press to review the phone book record from the first one to the last one.
press to review the phone book record from the last one to the first one
c. press , LCD will display ”PLS INPUT NAME”, if you enter the inital letter of the
phone book, then you can review the phone book by the first letter of the name.
3. Delete Phone Book:
In phone-book-review status, press and hold for 2 seconds to delete the reviewing
phone book.
4. Dial from Phone Book
a. In on-hook status, when review the phone book and find the number you
wish to dial, press or pick up the handset to dial the stored phone
number.
b. In off-hook status, when review the phone book and find the number you wish to dial,
press to dial the stored phone number.
TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
SYMPTOM CAUSE AND REMEDY
Phone does not work Is the phone cord connected properly both
in wall jack and in the base unit ?
Ringer volume is too low Is ringer volume set on law ?
Phone can receive but can not make calls The Tone/pulse switch has to meet the local
telecom dialing mode.

The phone can be wall mounted if user needed. When wall mounting, user has to change the
position of the handset hook guide & fix the base unit on the wall, the steps as below.
1. To change the position of handset hook guide.
a. Remove the handset hook guide by sliding upwards.
b. Rotate 180 degrees and reinsert. The handset hook guide will ready for wall mounting.
(Figure 1)
2. Fix the base unit on the wall
a. Choose a location close to telephone wall jack.
b. Draw mark 8.3 cm vertically apart on the wall. (you can use Figure 2)
c. To check the location of mark before drilling to make sure no any wiring or hidden pipes
behind the wall.
d. Drill and then insert screws into the wall and leaving the heads around 2 millimeters out
of the wall, adjusting it if necessary. (Figure 3)
e. Fix the base unit on the wall.
