Project K1 Work based Learning: a teachers’ task force The rapid pace of social and economic change has generated the need to identify new and innovative learning strategies in particular a "work based learning". As a starting point we have used the results of 4 questionnaires to have a global picture of the
needs related to the work experience schemes. Both teachers and students considered the
possibility of getting to know the methods of "Work based learning" in other European
countries as an important factor. This could favour their integration into the working world both
in Italy and in Europe.
Abbiamo utilizzato come punto di partenza i risultati di 4 questionari per avere un quadro
globale dei bisogni relativi le esperienze di ASL. Sia i docenti sia gli studenti hanno ritenuto di
grande importanza la possibilità di conoscere le modalità di “Work based learning” in altri
paesi europei consapevoli del fatto ciò possa favorire il loro inserimento nel mondo lavorativo
sia in Italia sia in Europa. Sia i docenti sia gli studenti hanno ritenuto di grande importanza alla
possibilità di conoscere le modalità di “Work based learning” in altri paesi europei consapevoli
del fatto che il loro futuro lavorativo sarà in Europa.

The project included
- 3 training courses focusing on three fundamental aspects of the project: work-based learning,
development of strategies for the development of soft skills in entrepreneurship; coaching and
mentoring for entrepreneurship. They will take place in three European countries (Great Britain,
Malta and Slovenia)in order to get an overview of these issues in the European framework.

sviluppo di strategie per lo sviluppo di Soft skills nell’imprenditorialità; mentoring and coaching

The project included
- 7 activities of Job Shadowing and 1 teaching assignment in different countries that present
situations of excellence in the field of work experience schemes (Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands,
Spain and Sweden) Teachers observed the strategies of work based learning and learnt the various
existing models in Europe. We have considered these countries thanks to previous cooperation and
because they present innovations in the field, especially for students with special needs.

eccellenza in ambito di alternanza scuola/lavoro (Finlandia, Germania, Irlanda, Paesi Bassi, Spagna

modelli esistenti in Europa. Abbiamo preso in considerazione questi paesi per precedenti cooperazioni
e poiché presentano innovazioni nel settore oggetto di osservazione soprattutto per studenti con
bisogni particolari.

In Sweden they give a great importance to work-based-learning and they think that there must be a
very strict relationship between school and companies or associations. Pupils have their first work
placement when they are in the third year for three days, in the fourth they work for four days and
in the fifth they work for five days.
Il rapporto tra il mondo dell'istruzione e il mondo del lavoro è molto stretto e le viste alle aziende

In Holland the way to organise internships is flexible in terms of time and content.
GGCA has decided to convey all the internship activities in two specific weeks, the students in 9th,
10th and 11th year interrupt their ordinary lessons and go every day to work.
They choose their job placement, sign a contract. They have responsibilities and tasks, they have
different feelings to cope with. Students approach their future job so they choose the activity
accordingly. Finally everybody is satisfied with the experience, because it has given them something
new, impossible to learn in theory, in particular about citizenship.
In Olanda viene lasciata molta libertà nella modalità di realizzazione degli stages formativi sia in
termini di tempistica sia in termini di contenuti. Il GGCA ha scelto di concentrare tutte le attività di
tirocinio in due settimane specifiche nelle quali gli studenti del 9°, 10° e 11° anno sospendono le
lezioni e si recano ogni giorno sul posto di lavoro. Gli studenti devono trovare un posto di lavoro
idoneo e firmano un contratto. Hanno delle responsabilità e delle mansioni, hanno attese e sentimenti
differenti con cui fare i conti. Alla fine, praticamente tutti sono soddisfatti dell’esperienza avuta, che
ha saputo insegnare qualcosa di nuovo, impossibile da raggiungere teoricamente, in particolare
nell’ambito dell’educazione alla cittadinanza.The objectives change according to the class the students are in.

reality from a different point of view, for example from

rest homes for elderly people or teachers’ assistants in nursery

• The 11th year the aim is to let students approach their future
job so they choose the activity accordingly.
The teachers-tutors («menthor») visit them to see everything is all
right.
Gli obiettivi sono diversi a seconda della classe frequentata:
• al nono anno si svolge un’attività che permette di vedere la
realtà quotidiana da un punto di vista differente, ad esempio
dietro il banco di una panetteria o servendo i tavoli di un bar;
• al decimo anno si svolgono attività di impronta strettamente
sociale, come assistenza presso case di riposo per anziani o
supporto a insegnanti delle scuole dell’infanzia oppure in
istituti che accolgono disabili;
• all’undicesimo anno la scelta è più marcatamente orientativa
e si cerca di farla coincidere con la professione che in futuro
lo studente vorrebbe scegliere.
I docenti tutor («menthor») si recano personalmente nei vari
luoghi di lavoro per verificare il corretto svolgimento delle
attività, nel rispetto di un contratto stipulato con le aziendeOutside the school interships

• We organised workshops open to all the teachers inside the
school,
• each teacher disseminated to his/her colleagues during
department meetings,
• each teacher presented the results to his/her students.
Next year we will organise workshops addressed to the students
that will have ASL or IFS followed by a google questionnaire to
assess the project.

all'interno della scuola,
• durante le riunioni di dipartimento ogni insegnante ha
presentato i risultati della propria esperienza ai colleghi

che dovranno fare l’ASL o le IFS seguito da un questionario di
gradimento con Google Drive per avere una valutazione del
