Philippe Nigro, designer francese nato a Nizza, ha studiato Arti Applicate e Product Design
(L.De Vinci, Antibes - La Martinière, Lyon - Boulle, Paris). Designer indipendente dal 1999,
ha iniziato la sua esperienza al fianco di Michele De Lucchi con il quale ha partecipato

a molti progetti di prodotti, mobili, illuminazione, interior, eventi, scenografie. Il lavoro

rispondere ai diversi aspetti del design. Dal 2005 alcuni suoi progetti sperimentali sono
stati sostenuti dall’ente francese VIA (Valorisation de l’innovation dans l’ameublement).
Nel 2014 gli è stato attribuito il riconoscimento di designer dell’anno di Maison&Objet. La
sua attività si rivolge anche alla progettazione di scenografie, tra le quali, la 7°edizione del
Triennale Design Museum “Il Design Italiano oltre le Crisi”, l’edizione del 2015 del Salone
del Mobile di Milano per la casa automobilistica Lexus, per la quale nel 2017 ha realizzato il
nuovo concept di stand del brand nel mondo. Nel 2016-17 ha diretto l’installazione Ultralin,
a Parigi, Place des Vosges e Sololino a Milano per la Confederazione Europea del Lino e
della Canapa. Philippe Nigro vanta collaborazioni con brand di livello internazionale come
Moleskine, Venini, Hermès.
