DELLA PROVINCIA
VICENZA: UNA PROVINCIA DA RECORD
Questa piccola guida realizzata già da alcuni anni, e ora rinnovata graficamente, ha lo
scopo di far conoscere la realtà e le capacità economiche del territorio vicentino.
Molti dati presentati sono riferiti al 2020, un anno straordinario considerata l’emergenza
sanitaria legata al COVID-19, ma nonostante le difficoltà Vicenza resta la provincia dei
record. Le statistiche contenute nelle pagine seguenti prendono in esame i principali
indicatori economici e confermano la provincia berica in posizioni di eccellenza, segno di
un tessuto produttivo e commerciale dinamico e ben strutturato, forte nei numeri e attento
agli aspetti qualitativi, protagonista sul mercato interno e con una strategica propensione
all’export. Con circa 100 mila imprese capaci di esprimere un valore aggiunto di circa
25 miliardi di euro, Vicenza si propone come il cuore produttivo del Nordest, l’area italiana
con più alta concentrazione di aziende. Ciò che caratterizza il tessuto imprenditoriale del
Vicentino è l’elevato numero di aziende, ma anche e soprattutto la forte diversificazione
produttiva, punto di forza di questa provincia. Dalla meccanica alla concia, dall’oreficeria al
tessile-abbigliamento, dalla ceramica al legno-arredo fino all’agroalimentare: sono questi
i settori nei quali Vicenza vanta risultati e posizioni di eccellenza nei mercati nazionali e
mondiali.
Nell’export Vicenza è al terzo posto tre le province italiane. Un risultato eccezionale se
si pensa che quest’area si colloca alle spalle di Milano e Torino, grandi città finanziarie e
industriali europee, realizzato da tante piccole e medie imprese in grado di competere con i
grandi gruppi internazionali, grazie ad armi vincenti quali la flessibilità, la specializzazione,
l’elevato tasso tecnologico e i livelli qualitativi raggiunti.
Seppur con minori entrate, la Camera di Commercio continua ad essere il principale
interlocutore per le imprese della provincia e per far fronte alle difficoltà ha scelto di
programmare interventi straordinari a supporto del sistema economico provinciale.

OF THE PROVINCE
VICENZA: A RECORD-BREAKING PROVINCE
This concise guide, which has been published for several years and has now been
renewed graphically, aims to provide an insight into the economic entities and business
opportunities of the Vicenza area.
Many among the following the data refer to 2020, an extraordinary year given the health
emergency linked to COVID-19, but despite the difficulties Vicenza remains the province of
records.
This statistic overview displays the main economic indicators that confirm the city as an
Italian top player: it shows its fast-paced and well-functioning productive and trade district,
being both strong in terms of figures and quality. Vicenza masters the domestic market and
holds a key export experience. Indeed, it is the productive heart of the area North-East of
Italy, where the highest concentration of companies is located.
Vicenza’s about 100 thousand firms produce an added value of approximately 25 billion
euros.
In addition to their huge number, variety is another main aspect of the local companies,
that range from mechanics to tanning, from jewellery to textiles-clothing, ceramics, wood-
furnishing and agri-food.
Regarding export, Vicenza ranks third among the Italian cities, just behind Milan and Turin,
which are among the major European financial and industrial areas. This exceptional result
has been achieved by many small and medium-sized entities, capable of competing with
large international groups, thanks to their winning skills such as flexibility, specialisation, a
high level of technology and focus on quality.
Despite its reduced revenues due to the emergency period, the Chamber of Commerce has
remained the main partner for those generating business in the province and has planned
extraordinary actions to support the local economic system.
