PROFILE 2019
PROFILE Cassa di Risparmio di Volterra is a banking institution founded on October 31th, 1893, in continuation of the activity of the ancient Monte Pio, active in Volterra since 1494. Over the centuries Cassa di Risparmio di Volterra has evolved and expanded in full autonomy, with more than 60 branches spread widely on the territory, operating in the Tuscan provinces of Pisa, Livorno, Grosseto, Lucca, Siena, Florence. The mission is to perform as reference Bank for local communities for families, small and medium-sized companies, handicraft and agricultural activities. Cassa di Risparmio di Volterra has received numerous awards from institutions and trade associations for the innovative activities aimed at the social and economic development of the local communities. In 2015 the bank was awarded ABI (Italian Banking Association) prize in the section “Innovate to communicate: the bank shows up and listens” thanks to the bank’s institutional communication project “Non Chiamarla Banca” (Don’t Call It Bank). For the same project in 2016 the bank was also granted “Innovation Award - Prize” established on the concession of the President of the Italian Republic and the COTEC (National Foundation for Technological Innovation), as recommended by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
