GLOBAL COFFEE FORUM 30 September - 1 October Il più grande tributo al mondo del caffè si celebra a Milano, in occasione di Expo e in concomitanza con l’International Coffee Council per la prima volta in Italia. Meeting ed eventi internazionali portano il prodotto più amato al mondo sotto i riflettori dell’interesse globale. The greatest tribute to the coffee world to be celebrated in Milan, during the Expo and the first International Coffee Council meeting in Italy. International meetings and events focus the spotlight on the world’s best loved product.

COFFEE, GOOD LIFE! GLOBAL COFFEE FORUM, 30 settembre - 1 ottobre Sala Auditorium Centro Congressi Stella Polare - Rho FieraMilano Due giorni di discussione sul prodotto più amato e consumato al mondo, a pochi passi da Expo Milano 2015 e dal Coffee Cluster. Il Global Coffee Forum è il primo meeting internazionale aperto a tutti i “Coffee Lovers”. Al Centro Congressi Stella Polare di Fiera Milano, si riuniranno i più grandi nomi dell’imprenditoria di settore, rappresentanti delle istituzioni, illustri esponenti del mondo scientifico e culturale internazionale, per discutere di caffè e degli ampi scenari del suo consumo. Tre le macro aree tematiche di discussione: piacere, salute, sostenibilità. GLOBAL COFFEE FORUM - 30 September - 1 October Auditorium of the Stella Polare Convention Center - Rho FieraMilano Two days of discussion on the best-loved, most-consumed product in the world, a stone’s throw from Expo Milan 2015 and the Coffee Cluster. The Global Coffee Forum is the first international meeting open to all “Coffee Lovers”. The biggest names in the industry, representatives of the institutions, and prominent leaders of the international scientific and cultural worlds will meet at the Stella Polare Convention Center of Fiera Milan to discuss coffee and the broader context of its consumption. Three thematic macro-areas for discussion: pleasure, health, sustainability.

INTERNATIONAL COFFEE DAY 1 OTTOBRE 2015 Da quest’anno e per i prossimi a seguire, il 1° Ottobre sarà sempre “International Coffee Day”. Igiorno dedicato alla sensiblizzazione sociale sul tema del caffè e della vita nelle piantagioni, promosso a livello globale da ICO, attraverso iniziative ispirate ai valori di: cultura, salute e sostenibilità. L’iniziativa che verrà ufficialmente presentata durante i lavori del Coffee Council e del Global Forum si avvale di un’importante partership con OXFAM in qualità di Charity International Partner. Con la dichiarazione ufficiale dell’International Coffee Day al Global Coffee Forum, si aprirà una grande festa a Expo Milano 2015 che coinvolgerà i numerosi padiglioni legati al mondo del caffè. 1 OCTOBER 2015 From this year forward, October 1st will always be International Coffee Day: a day devoted to social awareness on the subject of coffee and life on the plantations, promoted globally by ICO through initiatives based on the values of: culture, health and sustainability. The initiative, which will be officially presented during the proceedings of the Coffee Council and the Global Forum, involves an important partnership with OXFAM as Charity International Partner. After the official declaration at the Global Coffee Forum, The International Coffee Day will also be celebrated by the coffee pavil- ions at Expo Milano 2015.
ICD: UN’OCCASIONE DI CHARITY MONDIALE Evento cuore dell’International Coffee Day 2015: la campagna di fundraising “Coffee4Change” di OXFAM, la confederazione internazionale di 17 organizzazioni attiva in oltre 90 paesi, leader mondiale nei progetti di sviluppo in ambito rurale e nel portare acqua e servizi igienico sanitari nelle emergenze, specializzata in interventi di aiuto umanitario, campagne di sensi- bilizzazione e mobilitazione della società civile. L’iniziativa si ispira all’usanza partenopea di pagare una seconda tazza di caffè per una persona bisognosa. Durante l’ICD, chiunque, in tutto il mondo, aderendo all’iniziativa, potrà mostrare la propria solidarietà ai coltivatori di caffè che vivono in condizioni di fragilità donando il valore di una tazza di caffè a sostegno del lavoro realizzato da Oxfam in appoggio ai piccoli produttori e alle loro cooperative. L’iniziativa sarà sostenuta da attività di Virtual Fundraising attraverso la piattaforma dedicata coffee4change. oxfam.org, da iniziative di raccolta fondi organizzate in partenariato e sarà anticipata da eventi di sensibilizzazione e raccolta fondi realizzati presso il Coffee Cluster di Expo. ICD: AN OCCASION OF WORLD CHARITY The core event of International Coffee Day 2015: the fundraising campaign “Coffee4Change” of OXFAM, the international confederation of 17 organizations operating in over 90 countries, world leader in rural development projects, specialized in humanitarian assistance projects, awareness campaigns, and the mobilization of civil society. The initiative was inspired by the old Neapolitan custom of paying for a second cup of coffee for a person in need. During ICD, anyone in the world joining in with the initiative can demonstrate solidarity with coffee farm- ers living in conditions of fragility by donating the value of a cup of coffee to support the work carried out by OXFAM supporting small-scale producers and their communities. The Octo- ber 1st initiative will be supported by a virtual fundraising platform coffee4change.oxfam.it and will be preceded by awareness and direct fundraising events at the Expo Coffee Cluster.
