Davide D’Elia
Nato a Cava de ‘Tirreni (SA) nel 1973, Attualmente vive e lavora tra Roma e Londra. Davide D’Elia produce lavori che spesso valorizza la moderna terminologia estetica presentandola al di là dell’oggetto e dell’obiettività, ottenendo da cio’ un ragionamento che prende in esame il concetto del tempo e del suo scorre- re nello spazio. L’artista osserva e lascia che tutto cresca spontaneamente: il passare del tempo, le cui forme crescenti mutano da segni fatti dalla natura in oggetti d’arte. Lavorando sul residuo di ciò che rimane e sull’estetica di questa trasforma- zione, ci costringe a prendere in considerazione sia il tempo che passa sia il tempo che è gia’ passato. Born in Cava de ‘Tirreni (SA) in 1973, He currently lives and works between Rome and London. Davide D’Elia produces work that often re-values modern aesthetic termino- logy by presenting itself beyond object and objectivity, by which he obtains a reasoning that examines the concepts of time and the flow of time in the spa- ce. The artist observes and lets them start growing spontaneously: passing the time, their increasing shapes become drawings made by the nature on the object of art. By working on the residue of what remains and the aesthetics of this transfor- mation, he forces us to consider the possibilities of time that passes and time that has passed.
