• ACNP and NILDE make accessible and visible the holdings of IAL to all the other libraries.
• Among IAL, they are the most important channels for requesting DD of non-
astronomical subjects (Physics, Geophysics). They allow libraries to locate and furnish information not
easily accessible to the astronomers. For astronomical papers, the primary sources that fulfill the needs of the
astronomers are the web resources: ADS
• NILDE is a valuable tool for journal subscription renewal and cancellation. Through the
reports generated by NILDE, it is possible to know qualitative information about the exchanges made by each single IAL
and of INAF as a whole. A function that allows for the analysis of trends in sharing resources
and for planning for the future.
• Finally, they represent a means for the collaboration and for sharing resources between libraries.

A che punto è 896 biblioteche 96% italiane 691 universitarie 77% 68 ricerca 8% ambito disciplinare : 289 tecnico-scientifico 32% 15 anni : NILDE ha superato i 2 milioni di documenti richiesti tra le biblioteche del network. tasso di successo è 87% tempi di consegna 0,5 giorni.
