Racconti tramandati e documenti si mescolano nella storia della mia
famiglia e dell’azienda, nata come laboratorio e bottega, che porta oggi il
nome “Callesella Arredamenti”.
Tutto iniziò alla fine del 19° secolo. Era il 1896 quando i fratelli Costante e
Piero Callesella, dopo aver imparato il mestiere da qualche artigiano della
zona, decisero insieme di partire verso una nuova avventura.
Qui Costante e Piero, dopo aver vinto l’appalto per la costruzione degli
imballaggi che sarebbero serviti per la spedizione dei prodotti caseari, si
adoperavano anche per la realizzazione di serramenti, mobili, e quanto
capitava di fare.
La storia proseguì: siamo agli anni ‘40 del secolo scorso e Angelo, mio
padre, acquistò in centro paese una casa di abitazione con terreno
adiacente che gli permise in breve tempo di costruire una sede più ampia
e attrezzarla con nuovi e primi macchinari a funzionamento elettrico,
disponibili sul mercato in quel periodo. Nel 1965 nacque la “Callesella
Giuseppe“. Dopo qualche anno l’azienda passò alla produzione di
camerette, attività abbandonata nel 1980 per concentrarsi sulla produzione
del mobile rustico.
Arriviamo ai giorni nostri. Ed è ancora una storia di fratelli, i miei figli che,
con mansioni diverse stanno portando avanti la “Callesella Arredamenti”
con la convinzione e l’orgoglio di continuare un’attività iniziata più di 100
anni fa.

Many are the stories and documents passed down generation to
generation in our family but behind our business that was born as a family
store and workshop and that is known today as “Callesella Arredamenti”
there was only one family.
It all started in the late 19th century. After picking up the craft from a
craftsman in the area, in 1896 brothers Costante and Pietro Callesella
decided to start together a new adventure.
Right there, Costante and Pietro, contracted to manufacture the shipping
packaging for dairy products, but they also started making doors and
windows, furniture and whatever was needed.
Around 1940 my father Angelo bought in the city center a new house
with adjacent land and this allowed him, in a very short time to build a
bigger site for his business which was now equipped with the first energy-
operated machines that were available on the market at that time.
In 1965 “Callesella Giuseppe” enterprise was founded. After a couple of
years we started building bedrooms but we then stopped in 1980 when we
decided to focus solely on manufacturing rustic furniture.
Coming back to the present, the company is still a family business, a
brothers business, my sons and my daughter work for and manage
“Callesella Arredamenti”. They still hold the same spark of their ancestors
and take pride in carrying on a business started over 100 years ago.

Callesella furniture, used and combined in varying proportions with iron,
glass, stone or marble in our various collections. Authentic material is
timeless. It has always been used by craftsmen; it is ageless and gains in
value over the years. We run our hands over the finished surface after every
stage of crafting. We’re only satisfied if the sensation we get is a pleasant,
warm tactile experience that immediately conjures up the natural feel and
characteristics of the chosen material.
