La costa occidentale si unisce a quella orientale nel promontorio di Lefkada, dal quale il mito racconta che Saffo si gettò
per liberarsi dalla passione per Faona.
Il capoluogo - Lefkada
Il capoluogo , che da il nome all’isola intera, si sviluppa con un tessuto urbano di tipo medioevale, con case variopinte, vicoli fioriti, piccole
chiese e basiliche. Per le strade di Lefkada si può passeggiare in tutta tranquillità tra i negozi caratteristici ed i tantissimi locali che si
susseguono dal porto alla laguna, splendido specchio d’acqua, oasi protetta per la presenza di stambecchi, aironi e altre specie animale
rare. La vita di Lefkada si sveglia presto con l’attività della modernissima marina e prosegue fino a notte fonda per passare serate di

The singular geographic conformation of Lefkada Island offers optimal conditions for water sports like kite and wind surfing particularly on Agios Ioannis and Milos beaches, where the wind blows constantly. Together with its partner Kiteworld, MR-Promotion offers the opportunity to follow basic, advanced and freestyle courses by the guide of qualified instructors.
