*Strumento di ricerca, d’orientamento e
d’analisi della sovrabbondante e assai va-
riegata produzione scientifica e storico-
critica contemporanea sull’Umanesimo e
sul Rinascimento, e nel contempo Orga-
no, sia pure sui generis, dell’eponima Associazione in-
ternazionale di ricerca ed edizione, la rivista ch’essa inau-
gura a un quinquennio dalla propria nascita si articola in
quattro rubriche. Sebbene assai rilevanti nel numero, le
Segnalazioni proposte nella prima rubrica non puntano in
nessun caso a una sorta d’impossibile esaustività o com-
pletezza: programmaticamente volte alla costituzione,
per cosí dire, di un fondo di riferimenti bibliografici quali-
tativamente determinante, esse riflettono invece non me-
no le relazioni, le opportunità e la ricerca concretamente
esperita dai loro autori che la conoscenza posseduta e le
ragionate scelte compiute dallo staff editoriale della rivi-
sta. La cui originale formula non si limita peraltro a pro-
porre una nutrita sequenza di opportune Segnalazioni di
vario genere, ma annovera da un lato, nella rubrica Stralci
& Excerpta, la proposta di una ponderata e a suo modo in-
dubbiamente emblematica serie di preziosi sondaggi
presentantisi alla stregua di frammenti in sé conclusi, e
concordati coi loro autori e/o editori, di quanto di meglio
la ricerca scientifica e l’editoria propongono in materia, e
offre dall’altro, nelle Recensioni, utili o persino preziosi
approfondimenti critici e metodologici suscitati senza ar-
tificiali limiti temporali dalla pubblicazione di studî ed
edizioni di vario tipo, con o senza traduzione e commen-
to, nei campi d’indagine e/o d’attività che sono i nostri;
essa comprende infine, negli Acta & Agenda, altresí uno
stringato elenco delle principali attività e iniziative non
editoriali dell’Associazione «Artes Renascentes».The Associazione «Artes Renascentes»,
an international academic society
founded in 2014 for research and publish-
ing, is here inaugurating its review. This
periodical is designed not only as the
organ (albeit sui generis) of the association but also as a
tool for research, for orientation and for analysis of the
superabundant and multifarious academic and historico-
critical work currently being produced on Humanism and
the Renaissance. It is divided into four sections. Though
significant because of its size within the review, the first
section, entitled Segnalazioni, in no way attempts an
impossible exhaustivity or completeness. It aims at a pro-
grammatic constitution, so to speak, of a fund of quali-
tatively determinant bibliographic references, which re-
flect as much the relationships, the opportunities and the
concretely experienced research of their authors as they
do the knowledge possessed, and the reasoned choices
made, by the editorial staff of the review. The second sec-
tion, Stralci & Excerpta, offers a weighty and in its own
way undoubtedly emblematic series of important surveys
presented as fragments in themselves completed and
agreed upon with their authors and/or editors, of the best
of academic research and publishing on the subject. The
third section, Recensioni, offers useful or even valuable
critical and methodological insights without artificial
time limits from the publication of studies and editions of
various types, with or without translation and commen-
tary, in our fields of investigation and/or activity. The final
section, Acta & Agenda, offers a short list of the main non-
editorial activities and initiatives of the Associazione
«Artes Renascentes».
