Philosophy. The Master in Philosophy at USI is a research master with a special focus on theoretical philosophy and its history. It is a research master in that it requires students to submit regular written work, to produce research papers and to develop their discussion skills in class. It focuses on theoretical philosophy and its history in particular. The master offers courses in contemporary analytic philosophy, metaphys- ics and philosophy of mind, and in the history of philosophy, ancient and medieval, which are designed to complement each other.
