                           Midsea Books are proud to announce the publication of Luigi Maria Ugolini’s
                           survey of Maltese prehistoric monuments which was never published and
                           thought lost for several years.
                               Between 1924 and 1935, an Italian archaeologist, Luigi Maria Ugolini,
                           undertook several research visits to the Maltese Islands. The aim of the visits
                           was to record and study the prehistoric sites and the artefacts held at the
                           Valletta Museum and to publish the results of the survey.

                           by Mussolini’s government, even while Italy was challenging Malta’s status as
                           a Crown Colony of Great Britain. This work is an important milestone for
                           Mediterranean prehistory, and for the history of politics and archaeology in
                           the interwar period.’

                             The set of four volumes is sold as one with the possible addition of the
                             re-edited volume published in 1934. This print run is limited to 350 copies.
